In addition to attending resettlement events across the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and the wider British Armed Forces which allow us to introduce the superyacht industry to you, we would welcome your support, be that word of mouth and recommendation or via social media where you can share our news quickly and freely.

Having left my previous yacht and looking to find my next position in the industry, I was put into contact with Andrew Holme of Insignia Crew.
Insignia Crew’s unique understanding of Armed Forces personnel makes them the first and last point of call for placement within the Superyacht industry. I found Andrew to be very hands on and proactive with recruitment and finding me the best role, all whilst keeping me well informed every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend Andrew and Insignia Crew to anyone entering or already in the industry.
My experience with Insignia Crew has been exceptional. I signed up to all the well known crew agencies, went to Antibes and visited them in person, they all said they would help me find work but I never heard from any of them. Insignia Crew helped with my CV, gave me great advice of how the industry works and within weeks my details were aboard multiple yachts. There is constant comms and reassurance from Insignia Crew. I am now Deckhand aboard a 85m yacht. Insignia Crew are the only company to even stay in touch let alone get you job offers. I fully recommend Insignia Crew to any Bootneck or service leaver that is looking at joining the Industry.
I was introduced Anderw Holme of Insignia Crew via Katharine Callus at The Royal Marines Charity. He sat down with me and told me every course which I needed to do to help make my dream of working in the Superyacht industry come true.
I spent my own money in order to gain the necessary qualifications, I was helped by the camber at Stonehouse RM - completing most of their courses and was helped by Katharine at the Royal Marines Charity which gave me funding for my STCW95 and MCA AEC. Katharine also helped me get my CV to a decent standard and provided me support throughout my last year.
Thanks to Mr Andrew Holme of Insignia Crew, I now have a job on a 86m super yacht worth $150,000,000 but none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for Katharine Callus at the Royal Marines Charity. She was able to fund me when I didn't have the money and put me into contact with a man who knew exactly what to do and how to get me there.
I was informed of Insignia Crew by an ex-colleague from 40 Commando. From the first contact, Andrew at Insignia Crew was extremely helpful and gave me a clear introduction of how I could work in the maritime sector. He suggested a first-class training provider in Flying Fish (Cowes), who were, for me, the perfect company to supply the relevant courses, as they understood my military background and what I could offer the industry.
Following completion of the courses, Insignia Crew have been fantastic, with constant communication and live job updates. They have a superb network in the industry and I felt they were dedicated not only to finding me a job, but really wanting to find the right job for me. Since being placed in the perfect job role for my skill set, Andrew at Insignia Crew has been at the end of the phone giving me solid advice at all stages, from the interview process to questions I had regarding logistics and general practice.
I would highly recommend Insignia Crew to any former Royal Marine wanting to break into the Superyacht industry.
I am delighted to be able to suggest Insignia Crew’s recruitment services where I think their experience and contacts might result in a new and exciting career for those leaving the service with an affinity for a life on the water, and can personally vouch for their care, ethics and professionalism in my dealings with them to date.
Andrew of Insignia Crew has managed to articulate to the industry the unique skill set and value of employing a veteran. His most recent success was placing one of our Yachtmasters in a permanent position as Skipper of a luxury Catamaran in the Med. It is very clear from first meeting Andrew and his ongoing efforts that he is completely committed and passionate about creating these opportunities for veterans. Having such an individual advocating so fervently on the behalf of these veterans is generating a hugely positive experience and outcomes for them. The impact is quite profound and we are excited about the ongoing partnership with Insignia Crew.
